For over 60 years, our volunteers have supported community development across the Pacific and Timor-Leste, with the focus on:
Economic & Livelihoods
We partner with communities to strengthen local economies through sustainable agriculture, entrepreneurship, small business development, and inclusive job creation, especially for youth and women.
Education & Development
VSA supports learning by enhancing teaching capacity, improving access to education, and aligning skills training with community and labour market needs.
Environment & Climate
We work with partners to build resilience to climate change, promote environmental sustainability, and support disaster preparedness and ecological protection.
Health & Wellbeing
Our volunteers support health systems, improve access to quality care, and promote physical and mental wellbeing through inclusive, community-based initiatives.
Social inclusion
We promote greater social inclusion by advancing disability inclusion, and the well-being of children, youth, and rural communities.
Gender equity
VSA promotes inclusive participation and leadership by advancing gender equality, supporting women’s empowerment, and challenging systemic barriers to equity.
VSA works with many countries across Asia, Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia.
