Michelle joined VSA in May of 2014. Michelle returned from the UK in 2002 after working for JP Morgan Chase & Co for a number of years and worked primarily for Public Trust until Feb 2007. After working for ANZ for 18 months, Michelle joined Pinnacle Corporation Limited as Chief Financial Officer, followed by an Acting CFO role at Barnardos NZ.

Michelle qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1995 and has a strong background in the accounting as well as considerable commercial experience. Although her beginnings were in finance, she is now responsible for the overall programmes arm of VSA, overseeing the recruitment and deployment of volunteers. She is also Secretary to the VSA Foundation.

Michelle has seen first-hand the benefits of international development through volunteering to build capacity and sustainability and is passionate about VSA continuing to make that difference.

Give Today. Strengthen Tomorrow.

When you donate to VSA, you're helping communities across the Pacific build the skills and knowledge they need to shape their own futures.

Your contribution supports experienced volunteers working alongside local people – strengthening healthcare, education, climate resilience, livelihoods, and more. It’s about practical support, real partnerships, and long-term impact.

Every donation, big or small, helps create stronger, more self-reliant communities.
