After graduating from Port Moresby Business College with a business management degree, I worked in the hospitality industry for seven years and in the private sector (in Port Moresby) for another three, before making the move to Bougainville to start my own business. While taking a break from working in the private sector, I had the opportunity to apply for the Country Programme Officer (CPO) position with the VSA Bougainville Programme.

In late September 2013, I was blessed to begin working with the VSA Bougainville Programme, and I can recall that VSA Bougainville Programme was the first to trial the CPO position.

As VSA is one of the longest-operating NGOs in the region since 1998, it is an honour for me to be a part of this amazing organisation.

Give Today. Strengthen Tomorrow.

When you donate to VSA, you're helping communities across the Pacific build the skills and knowledge they need to shape their own futures.

Your contribution supports experienced volunteers working alongside local people – strengthening healthcare, education, climate resilience, livelihoods, and more. It’s about practical support, real partnerships, and long-term impact.

Every donation, big or small, helps create stronger, more self-reliant communities.

Be part of something that lasts. Donate today.
