Programme Manager - Kiribati

We’re looking for a Kiribati resident to join us as our Programme Manager, based in South Tarawa, leading VSA’s development programme in Kiribati.

What you'll do

In this role you’ll provide leadership for our in-country programme, setting direction, building strong partnerships with local organisations and the Kiribati government, supporting volunteers, and ensuring programmes are delivered safely and effectively.

Essential skills/experiences for the role

This role is ideal for someone with:

  • Proven management experience (managing people, finance, admin)
  • Skills in planning and delivering development programs and strategy
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • A strong understanding of the Kiribati context and communities
  • A background in international development or equivalent expertise
  • Cultural awareness and the ability to connect with diverse communities
