Returned volunteer Mary-Ann Hardcastle will speak on the topic, ‘The Autonomous Region of Bougainville – what is important to them?’ at the next Top of the South VSA branch meeting in Nelson on Tuesday 13 November 2018. Mary-Ann and her husband John returned from their assignment in Bougainville earlier this year.
Mary-Ann and John were also at the VSA Congress on 3 November, as were branch members Julia O’Connor, Carol Hulse, Herman van Gessel and newly elected VSA life member, Sandy Stephens. They will also give a brief rundown on Congress.
The meeting starts at 7pm. Prior to that, there will be a potluck dinner with a 6pm start (doors open 5.45 pm). The venue is the usual room at NMIT in R Block (enter from Alton Street, beside the fish and chip shop). All welcome.
