The Public Utilities Board (PUB) is responsible for delivering essential services throughout Kiribati. This includes supplying and distributing electricity and water, and operating and maintaining sewage systems. Cleanliness, safety and conservation has become a core theme in PUB’s operations and it is committed to providing access to affordable services to all.
PUB is currently facing a number of human resources challenges. In this assignment you will help strengthen PUB’s performance review process, and ensure it has effective policies in place enabling staff to feel confident and supported in their roles.
On a day-to-day basis you’ll work closely with the HR Manager, as well as other members of the HR team. You’ll use your knowledge and experience of HR best practice to review existing policies and procedures, and suggest improvements. You will also deliver training sessions and workshops to staff to build their understanding of processes, pay structures and performance reviews.

We are looking for a volunteer with:
- Significant experience in HR, preferably at management level
- Knowledge and experience of HR best practice, including policy development, performance review, recruitment, employee engagement and remuneration review
- Experience training/and or mentoring other HR professionals
