In the year 2000, the Red Cross Timor-Leste, known as Cruz Vermelha de Timor-Leste (CVTL) was established. As a humanitarian organization, the vision statement of CVTL is to improve the quality of life of vulnerable people and communities across Timor-Leste. The mission of CVTL is to abide by universal humanitarian values and the spirit of volunteerism to thus alleviate suffering among socially excluded and economically marginalized people in Timor-Leste; primarily through promoting their health and socio-economic development and enhancing their capacity to prepare for and respond to disasters.
The Assignment
This assignment is a partnership assignment between VSA and the RedCross Timor-Leste.

Are you someone who wants to make a difference, have a sense of adventure and like the challenge of being outside your comfort zone? VSA Volunteers are technical experts who impart their skills and knowledge to the local community. You will need to be flexible, adaptable, resourceful, resilient with a passion for Aotearoa and the wider Pacific community.
We're looking for a volunteer with the following:
There are 1,225,000 people living in Timor-Leste (formerly known as East Timor). Timor-Leste is one of the world's newest nations and the newest in Southeast Asia with history of colonisation and occupation. Timor-Leste became independent in 2002 and the same year it became the 191st member of the United Nations.

- An accountant that has strong analytical skills.
- Experience in Financial Analysis and Budgeting.
- Experience in financial reporting.
- Experience in Auditing compliance.
- Experience in strategic financial management.
- Ability to operate Microsoft office 365 and ABSS finance system (desirable)
- Experience in Mentoring and deliver training (desirable)
