The Assignment

This assignment is a partnership assignment between VSA, and Cure Kids Fiji.  Cure Kids Fiji is under increasing pressure due to its expanding partnerships and the growing workload from project-related activities. For these reasons, Cure Kids Fiji aims to enhance its capacity and capabilities across various areas to address the growth and increasing complexity of the challenges and opportunities it faces. This will ensure that Cure Kids Fiji is well-positioned to meet current and future needs and challenges.

The Organisational Capacity Development Specialist will work collaboratively with Cure Kids and Cure Kids Fiji to identify gaps and key challenges and help strengthen core capabilities across several domains, including operational
management, financial management, and resource management.

It is a destination attraction for its coral reefs, clear lagoons, and tropical landscapes. Fijian indigenous society is very communal, with great importance attached to the family unit, the village, and the vanua (land). With the introduction of traditions such as Indian and Chinese and significant influences from Europe and Fiji's Pacific neighbours, particularly Tonga and Samoa, these various cultures have come together to create a multicultural national identity for Fiji.

Fiji has several development goals they are focusing on as a country such as lowering youth unemployment rates, reducing poverty, reducing child mortality and gender inequality, increasing environmental sustainability, and improving the health and education status of its citizens.
