About Our Partner Organisation
The Agnes Gateway Hotel is the largest tourism offering in Munda, Western Province of the Solomon Islands. It is walking distance from the airport and is on the shore of the Roviana Lagoon. It offers accommodation and meals to those who stay in Munda as well as scuba diving at world-class World War II era dive sites, excellent fishing, visits to tropical island atolls and memorable sunsets.

What You’ll Do
As a VSA Volunteer, you'll immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of the Solomon Islands, working with the Board and hotel management team to review current practices, identify areas for improvement and help to put in place systems, processes and practices that will ensure the hotel is well managed. Additionally you will coach and mentor the leadership team to increase their capability and help them ensure the hotel is set up for future success.

Your Skills and Experiences
  • Qualification in leadership, business, hospitality or equivalent experience
  • Fundamental understanding of hotel management practices
  • Experience mentoring, coaching and training staff
  • Previous experience managing a hotel
