The Malaita Provincial Government works with the Solomon Islands National Government to ensure that the needs of people living in the Malaita province are met through the provision of services that enhance their quality of life.  One of the divisions of the Malaita Provincial Government is Sport, and this division is responsible for supporting all provincial sporting initiatives through schools and the community. The Sports Division is currently working with sporting organisations and groups to prepare for the 2023 Pacific Games.

The Assignment

This is an e-volunteer opportunity working from home for a minimum of 5 hours per week. In preparation for the Pacific Games, the Sports Division is seeking an adviser that can establish an online presence for the Sports Division and attract resources to support sport in Malaita. The Marketing and Resource Mobilisation Adviser will provide support in:
  • Developing a marketing strategy and implementation plan that will ensure maximum participation in sport;
  • Developing a website that will showcase opportunities for sport in Malaita and promote healthy living, and;
  • Developing a resource mobilization plan.
The Volunteer

We're looking for a volunteer with:
  • Experience in website development for sports;
  • Experience in developing marketing and resource mobilisation plans, and;
  • Skills in training, coaching and mentoring staff.
