The Organisation
An initiative of the Solomon Island's government, the National Sport Council supports athletes and coaches of the Solomon Islands compete at international competitions as well major international and multi-sport events.

The organisation's purpose is to grow people through sport; develop people holistically to be successful in sport and life; and support the preparations for the Solomon Islands 2023 Pacific Games – the largest sporting event in Solomon Islands history.

The Assignment
NSC is looking for an Organisational Support Adviser to help establish robust business practices, systems and processes. The volunteer will also mentor local staff as they develop a solid understanding of and subsequently implement good office management practices. This will enable NSC to be efficient and agile in how it operates effectively deliver the 2023 Pacific Games.

We are looking for a Volunteer with:
  • Extensive office administration and management experience
  • Experience developing and improving organisational policies and procedures
  • Experience and/or the ability to mentor staff in setting up and maintaining efficient office practices
  • A qualification in Business, Human Resources, Organisation Development or similar
