Te āhua o Te Tūrunga | The Nature of the Position
As the Project Lead – People and Culture, you will be responsible for leading and implementing key projects that align with our goals of fostering an inclusive, safe and supportive workplace. You’ll review our Health and Safety practices for modern and legal compliance, then develop and implement a new Health and Safety framework. In this role, you’ll also lead the update of VSA’s Business Continuity Plan, advise on leadership development and deliver key policy updates that will shape the way we support our people.
This role requires a blend of system thinking and hands-on project management skills. You’ll work closely with VSA’s senior leaders and key stakeholders, bringing together cross-functional teams to drive change that enhances our internal culture and the wellbeing of our people across New Zealand and the Pacific.
Ngā tino Pūkenga/Wheako | Key Skills and Experience
We are seeking a proactive HR professional with at least 8 years of either of Health and Safety Specialist experience or generalist HR experience, including senior advisory roles. You’ll bring expertise in health and safety compliance and business continuity planning. Strong project management skills, experience in policy development, and the ability to influence at all levels will be essential. A strategic and collaborative mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for fostering a positive work environment will make you a great fit for this role.

The starting salary for this role is up to $101,151 depending on skill and experience. We are also open to a contractor with a negotiable equivalent rate.
This role is based in Wellington CBD, at our Wellington office, with the flexibility to work-from-home up to a couple of days a week.
