05.11.2019 Today is International Volunteer Managers Day 2019 - "Being a VSA programme manager (PM) is a not an easy task. It’s both demanding yet ultimately fulfilling and often life changing," says Tim Rae, VSA's Director of International Development.

There is no typical day,” says Tim.  “A PM might have an important meeting with a government official, followed by spending three hours in a bank queue before suddenly having to support a volunteer with a personal or family crisis. In reality, our PMs may find themselves doing all three tasks simultaneously!

Tim finishes his kōrero with a big thank you to VSA's Programme Managers who work days and nights with VSA's volunteers, local partner organisations and local communities to create a vision of thriving communities in the Pacific and beyond.
