Kia ora! I work as a Programme Support Coordinator in VSA’s International Programme Unit. My responsibilities cover the Cook Islands, Niue, Tonga, Fiji, Kiribati, Tuvalu and Samoa and I facilitate volunteer pre-departure, deployment and return.
After working in the New Zealand Government sector, it is nice to return to my roots and work for an NGO like VSA which partners with great organisations who work towards improving our planet and its people.
I am originally from Vancouver, Canada and I have an educational background in Travel and Tourism Business Management. I previously worked as a vacation travel agent as well as a humanitarian travel agent before turning my sights on global exploration. I worked in a variety of jobs to fund my travels, which led me through most of Western Europe, Egypt, China, the United States, Australia and eventually New Zealand.
I’m now settled into life as a Wellingtonian with my lovely ocean view flat and have immersed myself in the local coffee and craft beer culture and still find time to teach dance classes and work.
