What do you do?
I'm part of a great team working to inspire more New Zealanders to engage with VSA and our work in the Pacific and beyond. We share the stories of volunteers and their counterparts across social channels, the Vista magazine, this website, public events and many more places, ensuring Kiwis perceive and experience VSA in a positive, engaging way.
What’s the best thing about working for VSA?
As a communications specialist, I’m compelled by powerful brands that reflect internal cultures as much as external values. Here at VSA, our brand strapline; "connecting people, transforming lives" feels authentic and real everyday.
What’s your favourite Pacific or Timorese phrase or saying and why?
I love the Samoan notion of “Va.” It’s about the relationship between people. No-one describes it better than Samoan poet Albert Wendt; “Va is the space that is context; giving meaning to things”.
