Te āhua o Te Tūrunga – The nature of the position
In this role, you will be more than only an EA. It is a unique and varied role, which is why we have titled it an Executive Coordinator, as you will have lots of responsibility and opportunity to support VSA’s work. In this role, you will provide executive administrative support to our Te Tumu Whakarae (CEO) and their senior leadership team. You will also oversee our Wellington office providing general office management and administrative needs.
As our Executive Coordinator, you will get the opportunity to support VSA’s Council (our governance board) by acting as the secretariat through preparing meetings, collating reports and minute-taking. You will be instrumental in organising VSA’s AGM and Council Elections, and helping to coordinate other VSA run events.
Ngā tino Pūkenga/Wheako – Essential skills/experiences for the role
This role will require maturity to work alongside senior leaders, a pro-active ‘can do, will do attitude', and the flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of this role. You will need to have a strong sense of confidentiality and reliability. Experience supporting a governance board is desirable but not essential.
As our Executive Coordinator you will ideally have:
- Proven experience as an Office Manager, Senior Administration or EA level position; and ideally experience working to support senior leaders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and experience with writing and editing reports.
- Excellent relationship management skills

This role is Wellington-based, with starting salary is between $62,475 - $73,500 depending on skill and experience.
